Nová hala Hlavního nádraží v Praze na sebe v dálkových pohledech zbytečně nepoutá pozornost. Tvoří jakousi podestu pro historickou Fantovu budovu. Nejvýraznějšími prvky jsou dvě skleněné schodišťové věže, které reagují na tvar věží původní secesní budovy. Jedná se přitom o velmi rozlehlou a velkorysou nádražní halu, která v sobě ukrývá i vstup do metra. Hala je logicky členěna a velmi přehledná - i díky chytrým detailům jako je proudové uspořádání dlažby, které jakoby urchlovalo pobyb cestujících. Při navrhování interiéru se kladl důraz na snadnou údržbu, proto v hale najdete minimum ostrých rohů, architekti je popřeli plynulým přechodem zdi v podlahu. Strop s obnaženými konstrukčími prvky dodává celému interiéru technicistní nádech.

The new departure hall for Prague’s main railway station was designed in an unobtrusive way, being visible only from Vrchlického park in front of it. It forms a kind of podium for the historical station building from the 19. century, designed by architect Fanta. The most dominant elements are the two glass stair towers which, in their glass facades, reflect the historical Art Nouveau building. However, it contains a very large and generous station hall with a lot of shops and even a metro station. It combines a very well-arranged design that supports the flow of passengers which can be seen in the current-like layout of the pavement. When designing the interior, the architects put an emphasis on easy maintenance, so besides the near non-existence of sharp corners in the hall, the walls also smoothly transform into the floor, making cleaning works very easy. Furthermore, the exposed ceiling with all its construction components adds an interesting high-tech atmosphere to the interiors.
